Echo & the Bunnymen take Apples For Isaac to New Brighton
Tickets for the Floral Pavilion go on sale at 10am on 2 October 2026, extending a November run behind the band's first album in twelve years.
Echo & the Bunnymen have added a show at New Brighton Floral Pavilion on Monday 16 November 2026 to their Apples For Isaac UK tour. The date was confirmed on 30 September 2026 on the band's official Instagram. Tickets go on sale at 10am on 2 October 2026.The addition brings the November run to eight gigs across England and Wales. Confirmed stops are Cardiff Tramshed on 9 November, Eastbourne Winter Garden on 10 November, Southampton Engine Rooms on 12 November, Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on 13 November, New Brighton on 16 November, Middlesbrough Empire on 17 November, Holmfirth Picturedrome on 19 November and Coventry HMV Empire on 20 November.
First new material in twelve years
The tour supports Apples For Isaac, the band's thirteenth studio album, released on 18 September 2026 on BMG. It is their first new material in twelve years.
Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo & the Bunnymen began with vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bassist Les Pattinson. Pete de Freitas had joined on drums by 1980. That early line-up cut a run of records that still define the band for many listeners: Crocodiles in 1980, Heaven Up Here in 1981, Porcupine in 1983 and Ocean Rain in 1984. Those albums fixed them in British post-punk and alternative rock, with McCulloch's voice and Sergeant's guitar at the centre of a sound that has been covered, reissued and revisited for decades.
The catalogue on file stretches far beyond the 1980s. Live sets and later studio work include The Stars, The Oceans & the Moon in 2018 and a 25-year anniversary edition of Evergreen in 2022. Apples For Isaac arrives after that long gap as a full studio return on BMG, not a retrospective package, and the November dates are built around it rather than a greatest-hits circuit.
From Regent's Park into the halls
The band already played two nights at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in London on 22 and 23 September 2026, days after the album came out. Those outdoor shows opened the live chapter for the new record. The November stretch moves the campaign into theatres and mid-sized halls, from the south coast through the Midlands and up to Yorkshire and the North East, with the Wirral date sitting between Wolverhampton and Middlesbrough.
New Brighton Floral Pavilion is a short hop from the band's Liverpool roots. Placing a November show there on a tour named for the new album gives the run a clear local anchor without turning the whole itinerary into a homecoming loop. The rest of the list stays practical: established venues, mid-week and weekend slots, a compact fortnight rather than a marathon.
For an audience that has lived with Crocodiles, Ocean Rain and the later live documents, the stakes are straightforward. A thirteenth studio album after twelve years is a rare event in this catalogue, and the November gigs are the first sustained chance to hear that material on stage in halls across England and Wales.
What remains is the on-sale itself. Tickets for New Brighton open at 10am on 2 October 2026. The other November dates are already on the band's official tour page for Apples For Isaac. No further additions have been announced beyond the eight shows now listed. For now the shape of the campaign is clear: a new BMG album, two September nights already played in London, and a compact November run that now includes the Floral Pavilion on the Wirral.
