Fontaines D.C. carry Dopamine Chamber across America
Pre-sale opens on 6 October for a spring leg with Westside Cowboy and an autumn run featuring Iceage; the new album arrives on 16 October 2026 via XL after a sold-out UK and European arena stretch.
Fontaines D.C. have announced a 2027 North American tour in support of their forthcoming album Dopamine Chamber, following sold-out UK and European dates in 2026 that included multiple arena shows. The spring leg opens on 23 April 2027 at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, then runs through Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Vancouver, Seattle and Sacramento, with Westside Cowboy as support. A later autumn leg features Iceage and takes in Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison and the Kia Forum in Inglewood. Pre-sale for the North American dates begins on 6 October 2026. Dopamine Chamber arrives on 16 October 2026 via XL Recordings.
A Dublin run that keeps widening
The band met as a quintet in Dublin and built their early reputation on concise, immediately authentic indie-punk drawn from the counter-culture of their hometown. Early singles including Hurricane Laughter, Liberty Belle, Chequeless Reckless, Too Real and Boys in the Better Land led to the 2019 debut album Dogrel. A Hero's Death followed in 2020, then Skinty Fia in 2022, with the related Skinty Fia go deo set and further singles around that period. Romance arrived in 2024; the single It's Amazing To Be Young was issued in 2025. Dopamine Chamber is the next full-length step in that sequence, and the first to be taken straight into a mapped North American campaign of this scale within days of release.
On stage they earned a name for brooding, trenchant live performances across Ireland, the UK and Europe, supporting HINDS, The Horrors, Girl Band, Franz Ferdinand and The Lemon Twigs, and taking festival slots at Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices. The sold-out 2026 arena run in the UK and Europe is the clearest measure yet of how far that live standing has travelled. The new American dates are a direct extension of the wider world touring schedule the band had already put in place, rather than a one-off.
Spring rooms, autumn landmarks
The spring itinerary stitches together mid-sized halls and city stops from the East Coast through the Midwest and on to the Pacific, giving Dopamine Chamber a dense first pass at North American audiences with Westside Cowboy in tow. The autumn leg shifts the frame: Iceage join as support, and the bill moves into larger landmark rooms at Red Rocks and the Kia Forum. Together the two legs place the Dublin group in both working city venues and high-profile outdoor and arena settings within the same album cycle.
What remains unannounced is any further fill-in between the named cities, and the full public on-sale picture beyond the 6 October pre-sale. For now the shape is fixed enough. The Irish band, who began with singles and hard-edged rooms at home, are heading into 2027 with Dopamine Chamber on XL, a sold-out European arena chapter already behind them in the 2026 books, and a coast-spanning North American tour locked in to carry the record on the road.
