Fontaines D.C. double Heaton Park for summer 2027

Fontaines D.C. have added a second night at Manchester’s Heaton Park after the first date sold at a pace the band and promoters could not ignore. The Dublin group will now play the park on Saturday 3 July and Sunday 4 July 2027, extending what is already their largest run of outdoor and stadium shows across the UK and Ireland.

The second Manchester date was confirmed on 8 September 2026, once pre-sales for the original Saturday show had signalled extremely high demand. An artist pre-sale for the new night began the same day. General sale across the tour opens on 10 September at 10am BST through Ticketmaster.

The full summer run

The UK and Ireland leg now stretches from late June into mid-July. Fontaines D.C. play two nights at Slane Castle on 26 and 27 June 2027, with the first of those already sold out. Blackweir Fields in Cardiff follows on 29 June, then St James’ Park in Newcastle on 1 July, Heaton Park on 3 and 4 July, Glasgow Green on 6 July and London Stadium on 9 July.

Support on the UK shows comes from Little Simz and Viagra Boys. Special guests at Slane are Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach. The Slane booking carries its own weight in Irish live history: Fontaines D.C. are only the third Irish act to headline the County Meath site, after Thin Lizzy and U2.

From Dogrel to stadium bills

Fontaines D.C. met as a quintet in Dublin and built their early reputation on concise, authentic indie-punk shaped by the city’s counter-culture. Live, they earned notice for brooding, trenchant sets, supporting acts including Hinds, The Horrors, Girl Band, Franz Ferdinand and The Lemon Twigs, and taking festival slots at Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices long before rooms of this size were on the table.

The recorded run is now five albums deep. Early singles — Hurricane Laughter, Liberty Belle, Chequeless Reckless, Too Real and Boys in the Better Land — led to the 2019 debut Dogrel. A Hero’s Death followed in 2020, Skinty Fia in 2022 (with the later Skinty Fia go deo set), and Romance in 2024. The 2025 single It’s Amazing To Be Young kept the gap short before the next full-length. Dopamine Chamber, due on 16 October 2026 via XL Recordings, is the record these 2027 dates are built to carry. Moving from the clubs and theatres that framed the first three albums to Heaton Park, St James’ Park and London Stadium marks a clear change of scale for a band still working within the same writing and performing discipline that defined Dogrel.

The immediate matter is the on-sale. One Slane night is already gone; Heaton Park has been doubled before general sale even opens. The rest of the itinerary — Cardiff, Newcastle, Glasgow and London — goes on sale on 10 September. For a Dublin band still measured by the intensity of their live set as much as by their records, the summer of 2027 is the first time that intensity is being asked to fill stadium ground as a matter of course.
