Fontaines D.C. lay out Dopamine Chamber track by track

Produced by James Ford and due on 16 October via XL, the Dublin five’s fifth album features their first guest vocal and lines up arena dates through the autumn.

Fontaines D.C. have published the complete tracklist for Dopamine Chamber, their fifth studio album, set for release on 16 October 2026 through XL Recordings. The eleven-track record, produced by James Ford, includes the lead single Marianne — released on 18 August 2026 — and marks the band’s first guest vocal, with Rosalía featured on Where Is Gone?.

Alongside those two titles, the album features Six Shot Morning, Mimesis, Happy For You, Demolition, Tongue, One Man, You Miss Me, Japan and Intimate. Pre-orders are available now. Frontman Grian Chatten has described the record as a ‘dopamine chamber’ that tests ‘different mind- or mood-altering pieces of music’.

From Dogrel to the chamber

The news places the Dublin quintet two years on from Romance (2024), which followed Skinty Fia in 2022, A Hero’s Death in 2020 and the 2019 debut Dogrel. A 2025 single, It’s Amazing To Be Young, bridged the gap between Romance and the new work. Formed in Dublin and driven by the city’s counter-culture, Fontaines D.C. built their name on concise, immediately authentic indie-punk and live performances that earned early support slots with Hinds, The Horrors, Girl Band, Franz Ferdinand and The Lemon Twigs, as well as festival appearances at Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices.

That run has been steady rather than rushed: four studio albums in five years, then a longer pause into Romance, and now a fifth record that keeps their association with XL while, for the first time, opening the door to a named guest vocalist. The presence of James Ford as producer and Rosalía’s appearance on a single cut are the clearest signals that the band are testing new shapes without abandoning the line that took them from Dogrel’s street-level urgency to the broader canvas of Romance.

Summer stages, autumn arenas

The tracklist arrived after the band closed a summer of headline festival work at Reading & Leeds and Electric Picnic — the latter, a return to a bill they had played in earlier years. What follows is a UK and European arena tour through October and November 2026, timed to coincide with the album’s release. Marianne has been the public face of the campaign since mid-August; the remaining ten tracks, including the Rosalía feature, arrive with the full album on 16 October.

For a band whose reputation was first made in rooms and on festival stages rather than on paper, the sequence is deliberate: festival headlines first, the full tracklist next, the arenas and the finished record together. Dopamine Chamber does not rewrite the catalogue so much as extend it — fifth album, first guest vocal, same Dublin core — and the autumn dates will be the first public test of how those eleven songs sit on a larger stage.
