Fontaines D.C. lock five outdoor giants for summer 2027

November’s arenas are already gone. First comes Dopamine Chamber in October, then Slane, the parks and London Stadium — the largest headline run of their career.

The outdoor map for Fontaines D.C. in 2027 is complete. Five major UK headline dates will take the Dublin band from Cardiff to London Stadium between late June and early July, with two nights at Slane Castle in County Meath opening the run — the largest headline shows they have played to date.

Blackweir Fields in Cardiff hosts them on 29 June 2027. St James’ Park in Newcastle follows on 1 July, Heaton Park in Manchester on 3 July, Glasgow Green on 6 July and London Stadium on 9 July. Little Simz and Viagra Boys support across all five. At Slane, on 26 and 27 June, Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach share the bill over the two evenings. Fontaines D.C. become only the third Irish act to headline the Meath venue, after Thin Lizzy and U2.

The package was announced on 3 September, once their 2026 UK and European arena tour had sold out immediately, and days after they had headlined Reading and Leeds in August. Those arena dates are still to come: Manchester’s AO Arena on 21 November, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 22 November, Leeds First Direct Arena on 24 November, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 25 November and London’s O2 on 27 November, plus further European stops. General sale for the five outdoor UK shows opened at 10am on 10 September, after an artist pre-sale on 8 September for fans who had pre-ordered the new album.

From Dogrel to open air

Fontaines D.C. met as a quintet in Dublin and built their name on concise indie-punk shaped by the city’s counter-culture, earning a live reputation that was brooding and trenchant from the start. Early work put them on bills with Hinds, The Horrors, Girl Band, Franz Ferdinand and The Lemon Twigs, and on festival stages at Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices. The recorded run is now long enough to chart the climb: *Dogrel* in 2019, *A Hero’s Death* in 2020, *Skinty Fia* in 2022 — later revisited as *Skinty Fia go deo* — and *Romance* in 2024, with the single It’s Amazing To Be Young arriving in 2025. *Dopamine Chamber*, set for release on 16 October 2026 on XL Recordings, is the album these stadium and park dates will carry.

That sequence, from debut to open-air headliner inside eight years, is what the 2027 bill makes visible. Indoor arenas in November will give the new songs their first large-scale test. The following summer moves the same catalogue into parks, a football ground and London Stadium.

Slane, then the road south

Slane has always sat apart in Irish live music. Thin Lizzy and U2 are the only Irish headliners who have stood there before; adding a second night underlines demand that the arena sell-outs have already signalled. Support across the two Meath shows mixes Hayley Williams with Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach — a bill that bridges rock, Irish songwriting and the band’s own generation.

From there the route runs through Blackweir Fields, St James’ Park, Heaton Park and Glasgow Green before the close at London Stadium. For a group still closely identified with Dublin rooms and the circuit that raised them, the geography is the story as much as the capacity: Wales, the North East, Manchester, Glasgow and London on successive summer dates, with the same two support acts throughout.

What comes next is immediate and plain. *Dopamine Chamber* arrives on 16 October. The sold-out November arenas follow. Then the wait for the end of June 2027, when Slane opens the outdoor leg and the band step into the scale they have been building towards since *Dogrel*.
