Fontaines D.C. step up to arenas — and stadiums next

A six-night November run takes them from Liverpool to The O2 in support of Dopamine Chamber. July 2027 includes Heaton Park, Glasgow Green and London Stadium, while Irish dates remain unannounced.

Fontaines D.C. have locked in a six-date UK arena tour for November 2026, taking the Dublin band into some of the country’s largest indoor venues as they prepare to release their fifth studio album.

The run opens at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on 20 November, then moves to Manchester’s AO Arena on 21 November, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 22 November, Leeds’s First Direct Arena on 24 November, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 25 November and London’s The O2 on 27 November. General sale for the arena shows began on 3 September at 10am BST. Fans who had pre-ordered Dopamine Chamber, due on 16 October 2026, were offered a presale window ahead of release.

From the arenas to the parks

The same announcement set three major outdoor and stadium dates for the following summer. Fontaines D.C. play Manchester’s Heaton Park on 1 July 2027, Glasgow Green on 6 July and London Stadium on 9 July. Tickets for those shows went on sale from 10 September. The leap from club rooms and theatres to arenas, and then to parks and a stadium, is the clearest measure yet of how far the band have travelled since their first records.

Further UK and European dates through October and November 2026 are listed on the band’s official site, around the arena run. The November shows are framed as support for Dopamine Chamber. Home dates in Ireland have not been confirmed. The band have said fans there will receive news soon.

A Dublin run that kept widening

Fontaines D.C. met as a quintet in Dublin, shaped by the city’s counter-culture and answering it with concise, immediately authentic indie-punk. Early live work across Europe, Ireland and the UK built a reputation for brooding, trenchant performances. They supported HINDS, The Horrors, Girl Band, Franz Ferdinand and The Lemon Twigs, and took festival slots at Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices.

The studio sequence is now firmly established. Dogrel arrived in 2019, A Hero's Death in 2020, Skinty Fia in 2022 and Romance in 2024. The 2025 single It’s Amazing To Be Young pointed toward the next full album. Dopamine Chamber will be their fifth. The 2027 outdoor calendar already carries weight at home as well as across Britain.

What changes with these UK dates is less the sound than the rooms. A band once known for short, hard-hitting sets in smaller venues now fill arenas in a single November stretch and take parks and a stadium the summer after. The work remains the work: the records, the stage, the voices. The scale around it has shifted.

Irish announcements are the obvious next beat. Until then the map for late 2026 and summer 2027 is clear enough — arenas first, then the larger grounds — with Dopamine Chamber due in the shops in mid-October.
