Fontaines D.C. turn one Heaton Park night into two

Slane already runs to two nights in June; the rest of the outdoor leg is now locked through to London Stadium, with Dopamine Chamber due first on 16 October.

Fontaines D.C. have added a second night at Manchester’s Heaton Park after demand for the original allocation outstripped availability. The new booking falls on Sunday 4 July 2027, directly after the Saturday 3 July show already confirmed. The announcement came on 8 September as part of their outdoor and stadium tour.

The full UK and Ireland outdoor leg now stands as follows. Slane Castle on 26 and 27 June 2027, Blackweir Fields in Cardiff on 29 June, St James’ Park in Newcastle on 1 July, Heaton Park on 3 and 4 July, Glasgow Green on 6 July and London Stadium on 9 July. Little Simz and Viagra Boys support on all dates. A second Slane night was added on 2 September for the same reason — demand — and those two Irish shows remain the band’s biggest headline dates.

Artist and O2 presales began on 8 September, Live Nation followed on 9 September, and general sale opened at 10am BST on 10 September via Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Tickets for the Manchester dates start from around £90. No further dates have been added to the run.

From Dublin rooms to the big parks

The five who make up Fontaines D.C. met in Dublin and built their name on concise, immediately authentic indie-punk shaped by the city’s counter-culture. Early live work took them across Europe, Ireland and the UK, supporting Hinds, The Horrors, Girl Band, Franz Ferdinand and The Lemon Twigs, and earning festival slots at Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices. The studio run began with Dogrel in 2019, then A Hero’s Death in 2020, Skinty Fia in 2022, the companion set Skinty Fia go deo in 2023, and Romance in 2024. The single It’s Amazing To Be Young arrived in 2025. Dopamine Chamber, due on 16 October through XL Recordings, is the album these outdoor dates will eventually serve.

That places the Heaton Park double-header nine months beyond the record and after a November arena stretch already announced from Liverpool to The O2. The arena run acts as a bridge into the 2027 parks and stadiums. Heaton Park, Glasgow Green and London Stadium were already on the itinerary; the second Manchester night now matches the pattern set at Slane and completes the outdoor leg.

Demand that will not fit one night

Two nights at Heaton Park is not a routine addition for a band whose studio catalogue still runs to a handful of albums. The same surge that emptied the first Slane allocation has repeated in Manchester. The outdoor leg is fixed from the Boyne Valley to East London. Nothing beyond those dates has been announced.

What sits immediately ahead is the album. Dopamine Chamber arrives on 16 October. The arenas follow in November. Then the wait until June, when the parks and stadiums open and Fontaines D.C. play the largest headline venues of their career to date — twice over in Manchester, and twice over at home.
