Jamie T fills out Ghosts with Albarn and voice memos

Jamie T has now set out how *Ghosts (100 Days of Morning)* was built. The sixth studio album is an eleven-track set drawn from voice memos recorded across his career, due on Polydor on 9 October. The method is the fresh detail: not a single locked writing block but years of phone notes turned into finished songs.

The lead single, *3310*, arrived in August with a video directed by Rob Thorogood. On *Cocktail*, Damon Albarn contributes writing and keys. Hugo White co-produces two tracks. Those credits cast the record in a clearer light than the first August announcement allowed, and they place named collaborators within a catalogue that has long been treated as a solo craft.

From Panic Prevention to a sixth album

Jamie Alexander Treays, the Wimbledon-born singer, songwriter, rapper, guitarist and producer better known as Jamie T, broke through with *Panic Prevention* in 2007 and followed it with *Kings & Queens* in 2009. EPs from that early run — *Chaka Demus*, *Sticks ’n’ Stones*, *The Man’s Machine* — fixed the voice before the longer gaps arrived. *B Sides (06-17)* gathered stray work in 2018. *The Theory of Whatever*, in 2022, was the last full studio album before *Ghosts*.

Four years on, it is his first studio album since 2022. Later singles kept the name in circulation — *Hippodrome* in 2023, a feature on *White Runtz* in 2024, and *Lights Burn Dimmer* already in 2026 — but *Ghosts* is the long-form statement. Building it from career-spanning voice memos ties the October record back to the same street-level note-taking that shaped the early work, rather than to a clean break or a reinvention.

He previewed the new material at a sold-out Scala gig in London on 20 August — his first headline show in two years — and again on the main stage at Reading Festival on 28 August. Both dates served as the live proof of concept before the album lands.

What remains ahead is the release itself and a seven-date UK headline tour. The itinerary runs 7 December at O2 Academy Birmingham, 8 December at O2 City Hall Newcastle, 11 December at Olympia London, 14 December at O2 Academy Leeds, 15 December at O2 Academy Glasgow, 18 December at Co-op Live Manchester, and 20 December at Brighton Centre. Tickets went on sale in late August.

That run is the first British headline itinerary in four years, matching the gap left after *The Theory of Whatever*. Deluxe formats of *Ghosts* have been available to pre-order since the album was first dated 9 October. The December rooms now have a clearer record behind them: eleven tracks, a lead single already out, Albarn on *Cocktail*, White on two productions, and a working method rooted in the memos Treays has carried for years.

Between here and the Brighton closer sit the Polydor street date and those seven nights. The shape of the album is no longer only a title and a calendar entry; it is a documented set of songs, credits and live dates still to come.
