Jamie T holds the mirror up on Tallahassee

Ghosts lands on 9 October, and the December UK run has already grown by three nights after demand forced his hand.

Jamie T released Tallahassee on 19 September 2026 on Polydor. It is the latest preview of his sixth studio album Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning), which is due on 9 October. The track samples Leif Vollebekk’s 2017 song of the same name and moves into rapped verses that name-check Lily Allen, Tracey Emin, Paul Heaton and Liam Howlett. Treays framed the song in plain terms: “almost me trying and failing to give myself a pep talk in the mirror before the biggest show of my career”.

That line sits cleanly with the way the record has been put together. Ghosts was written from voice notes spanning his career, a method that pulls old fragments into new shapes rather than chasing a single studio moment. Alongside Tallahassee, the album carries a cover of The Jam’s Ghosts. The Jam, the Woking band fronted by Paul Weller that ran from 1972 until their break-up in December 1982, remain a fixed point in British guitar writing; placing one of their songs inside a Jamie T album marks a clear line from the late-seventies and early-eighties catalogue into a South London songwriter still working in 2026.

From Panic Prevention to a sixth album

Jamie Alexander Treays, better known as Jamie T, came out of Wimbledon as a singer, songwriter, rapper, guitarist and producer. Panic Prevention arrived in 2007 and fixed the template: talk-sung verses, clipped guitars, a London street voice that never softened into polish. Kings & Queens followed in 2009, then a run of EPs and later collections that kept the same restless density. The Theory Of Whatever, released in 2022, was the last full studio statement before this year’s cycle; Lights Burn Dimmer already appeared as a single in 2026, so Tallahassee is not an isolated release but part of a longer approach to the October record.

Six studio albums is a long enough arc for the voice-note method to mean something. Early records thrived on immediacy and local detail; Ghosts, by the artist’s own account of its making, treats the archive of his own scraps as raw material. The name-checks on Tallahassee — Allen, Heaton, Howlett, Emin — read less like guest spots than like a private roll-call of people and work that still matter to him. Lily Allen’s own path, from Alright, Still in 2006 through later albums including No Shame and the 2025 set West End Girl, has run in parallel British pop lanes; hearing her name inside a Jamie T verse underlines how those lanes still cross.

December dates already stretched

The album has a live counterpart already on the books. On 7 September 2026 Jamie T added three dates to his December UK headline tour after demand for the original run. A second night at Birmingham’s O2 Academy was booked for 6 December, a second show at London Olympia for 12 December, and an extra Glasgow O2 Academy date for 16 December. The full remaining itinerary now runs 6–7 December in Birmingham, 8 December in Newcastle, 11–12 December in London, 14 December in Leeds, 15–16 December in Glasgow, 18 December in Manchester and 20 December in Brighton. The tour is built to support Ghosts rather than sit as a separate victory lap.

What lands next is straightforward. Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning) is set for 9 October on Polydor. Tallahassee is the public face of that campaign for now: a sample-led track, a frank self-description from Treays, and a clear signal that the sixth album will pull from his own long paper trail and the British catalogue he still measures himself against. The December halls are already filling around it. Between the voice notes, the Jam cover and the extra nights in Birmingham, London and Glasgow, the next six weeks will show how the pep talk holds once the record is out and the first of those gigs arrives.
