Morrissey has revealed plans for two major headline shows this summer.

Today, British singer-songwriter Morrissey has revealed plans for two major headline shows this summer. The first concert will take place on Sunday 9th July at London’s Crystal Palace Park, followed by another performance on Wednesday 12th July at Leeds Millennium Square. These shows come ahead of his highly anticipated European tour, which includes a sold-out gig at London’s Eventim Apollo later this month.

Morrissey's musical career spans over three decades and has been incredibly successful. He has had 16 albums in the UK Top Ten as a solo artist, and nine Top Ten albums with his former band The Smiths, of which Morrissey was a founding member. Morrissey holds various accolades, including breaking The Beatles' record for selling out the Hollywood Bowl in 1991. In 2006, he was voted the second Greatest Living British Icon, and in 2007, he was voted The Greatest Northern Male in a nationwide newspaper poll.

Morrissey's work has been covered by various artists, including David Bowie, Nancy Sinatra, the Killers, and Marianne Faithfull. His autobiography, Morrissey Autobiography, was published by Penguin Classics in 2013 and became the second fastest-selling autobiography in British history.

Born in Manchester, England, Morrissey is of Irish heritage, specifically Dublin lineage. He was the singer and lyricist of The Smiths for six years and has been a successful solo artist for 36 years. In 1994, his album "Your Arsenal" was Grammy nominated.

Tickets for Morrissey’s London and Leeds summer shows will go on general sale on Friday 10th March at 10am. In Leeds, Morrissey will be joined by special guests, The Slow Readers Club.
