Oasis film unlocks exclusive Live '25 performances
Full takes of Wonderwall and Slide Away, plus joint-interview material never shown in cinemas, arrive on Disney+ and Hulu on 9 October after the reunion film topped the UK and Ireland documentary box office.
Disney+ and Hulu will premiere the Oasis documentary Don't Look Back in Anger on 9 October 2026, adding never-before-seen footage from the Gallagher brothers' joint interviews and full performances of Wonderwall and Slide Away. The platforms confirmed the exclusive streaming date on 28 September 2026. Two further songs will also be made available for the first time on those services. Angela Jain, Head of Content at Disney+ EMEA, said: "The great wait is over…as we now bring 'Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger' to as many people as possible through Disney+, and to be doing it with exclusive unseen footage too, is so exciting for fans."
Cinema run to the stream
Written by Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the film charts the 2025 reunion tour Oasis Live '25. Produced by Magna Studios, it draws on rehearsal, backstage and onstage access alongside the joint interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher. It received its world premiere out of competition at the Venice Film Festival, then opened theatrically in the UK and Ireland in early September 2026.
In cinemas it became the UK’s highest-grossing documentary feature film of 2026. The film explores the emotional impact of the reunion on the band and fans worldwide. The new streaming cut extends that record with material withheld from the theatrical version, including the full Wonderwall and Slide Away performances and further interview sequences.
Songs that still fill the rooms
Noel Gallagher, born in 1967 and raised in Burnage, Manchester, was the chief songwriter who shaped Oasis through the Britpop years of the 1990s. Tracks such as Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova became fixed points in the British catalogue. He joined his brother Liam's group in 1991; renamed Oasis, they released Definitely Maybe in 1994, which became the fastest-selling debut album in UK history. The Live '25 tour marked their return after a long split, and the documentary sits inside that return, filming the work as it happened.
Oasis tour dates have already sold out. No further details on additional footage or on any international rollout beyond Disney+ and Hulu were given in the announcements. For listeners who followed the stadium run and the short cinema window, the 9 October premiere is the next fixed point: the same film, with songs and interview passages the theatrical cut did not carry, now set for the living room five days from now.
