Saint Etienne's last Irish night is tomorrow in Dublin

Saint Etienne play the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin tomorrow, Tuesday 22 September. It is the only Irish date on a nine-show farewell run through the UK and Ireland that the band have framed as the last chance for audiences here to see them live.

Four dates remain. After Dublin the tour continues at The Glasshouse in Gateshead on 24 September, the Dome in Brighton on 25 September and Cambridge Corn Exchange on 26 September. No further UK or Ireland shows are planned once the Cambridge date is done, though the band have left open the possibility of later opportunities in Europe, America or Japan.

The run opened last week. Saint Etienne played New Century Hall in Manchester on 15 September, Bristol Beacon on 16 September, the Roundhouse in London on 18 September, Electric Sheffield on 19 September and SWG3 in Glasgow on 20 September. Those five nights are behind them; the remaining four close the chapter.

A final home stretch

The line-up on the road is the long-standing core of Bob Stanley, Pete Wiggs and Sarah Cracknell. They have described these September dates as the definitive chance for UK and Irish fans to see the group on stage. Tickets went on general sale in December 2025.

The set draws on a catalogue that now spans thirty-five years and includes seventeen UK Top 40 singles. That body of work is what the remaining audiences will hear: a career distilled into the last home shows rather than a new-album campaign or a full retrospective tour stretched across further years.

For a band whose records and singles have been a fixture of British and Irish pop radio for more than three decades, the decision to draw a line under UK and Irish live work carries a clear practical meaning. After Cambridge there is no domestic return on the calendar. Whatever may follow abroad, the Dublin, Gateshead, Brighton and Cambridge nights are the last scheduled opportunities on these islands.

The Dublin stop at the 3Olympia therefore sits at a precise point in the itinerary: the sole Irish date, the first of the four that remain, and the evening that turns the farewell from a UK run into a genuinely cross-channel close. Gateshead, Brighton and Cambridge then finish the sequence inside a week.

As of Monday 21 September, those four shows are all that remain. The band have said they are the last of their kind for UK and Irish crowds. Everything else — any later overseas dates, any further statements about the end of touring at home — remains unannounced.
