Stanleys announce Engine Shed headline date, tickets on sale now
Tickets for the Lincoln headline show are now on sale.
On 7 October Stanleys announced a headline show at Lincoln’s Engine Shed on 6 December. Tickets went on sale the same day through the band’s official channels. From Wigan rooms to a wider circuit
Stanleys emerged from Wigan, the small industrial town just outside Manchester that has already sent George Formby, The Verve, Starsailor and The Lathums out into the wider British circuit. The line-up is Tom Concannon on vocals, Jake Dorsman on guitar, Harry Ivory on bass and Rob Hilton on drums and backing vocals. Their sound has been built on jangly riffs, understated drums and Concannon’s plain-spoken North West storytelling — a mix that has drawn easy comparisons with earlier regional bands such as The Smiths and The La’s, without the group treating those names as a template.
The recorded path is short and steady rather than sudden. Singles A Better Life and Measured In Gold arrived in 2020, followed by the Look Back EP in 2021. 2023 brought the singles I'll Try and She’s Done It Again and the EP Time Waits For No One. 2024 added He Knows and the EP The Gallery; 2025 the single Out the Door; and 2026 Pass The Time. Each release has tightened the writing without a radical change of direction, and the live dates have grown in step with that catalogue rather than racing ahead of it.
