TOMORA follow Come Closer with a new Celebration EP
Five tracks land digitally on 16 October through Capitol, with vinyl and CD to follow on 27 November, as UK dates in Glasgow and London sit on the horizon.
TOMORA have announced a new five-track EP. Celebration, from the collaborative project of The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Aurora, arrives digitally on 16 October via Capitol Records. Physical editions — standard black vinyl, marbled vinyl and CD — follow on 27 November. The title track is available now.Alongside that lead song, the EP contains ‘Hold On Let Go’, ‘What Do We Got?’, a ten-minute studio version of ‘IN A MINUTE’ and a ‘Celebration – Ritual Mix’. The duo said: “Celebration is a privilege. Celebration is a person. Celebration is a funeral and celebration is a ritual. It’s human nature. And it’s a human need. We should all be celebrated, as real human beings.”
The release follows their debut album COME CLOSER and comes ahead of further international live dates, including UK shows in Glasgow and London.
Rowlands across three decades
Tom Rowlands has spent more than thirty years at the centre of electronic music as one half of The Chemical Brothers. Formed with Ed Simons in Manchester in 1989, the pair were pioneers of the big beat genre. Their early run still frames that era for a large part of the audience that will hear TOMORA: Exit Planet Dust (1995), the Loops of Fury EP and Setting Sun with Noel Gallagher (1996), and Dig Your Own Hole and the Block Rockin’ Beats material (1997).
The Chemical Brothers have kept a steady flow of new work into the present decade. The album For That Beautiful Feeling arrived in 2023, surrounded by singles including ‘All Of A Sudden’, ‘Live Again’ featuring Halo Maud, ‘No Reason’, and the Erol Alkan rework of ‘Goodbye’. Earlier in the 2020s came ‘The Darkness That You Fear’ and archival mixes such as ‘It Doesn't Matter (Alt Mix / 28/9/96)’. That catalogue is the long spine behind Rowlands’ name; TOMORA sits beside it as a separate project with its own voice and release cycle, moving now from a full-length debut into a concentrated EP.
What Celebration puts on the table
Five tracks give the new set room to stretch. The ten-minute studio take of ‘IN A MINUTE’ and the Ritual Mix of the title song mark the outer edges of the running order, while ‘Hold On Let Go’ and ‘What Do We Got?’ fill the middle ground between the lead single and those extended pieces. Capitol Records handle the release across digital and physical formats, with the black and marbled vinyl pressings and the CD due in late November, after the download and stream date.
For listeners who have followed Rowlands from the Manchester years through the festival stages of The Chemical Brothers, TOMORA offers another register — collaborative, built around a shared title idea, and now returning with a short-form record that treats celebration itself as the subject. The pair keep the live side of the project in motion at the same time: further international dates are planned, among them gigs in Glasgow and London, though the full run of venues and support details remains to be set out.
That track is already out. The rest of Celebration follows digitally on 16 October, with the physical editions due on 27 November. Between the Chemical Brothers’ long discography and this second TOMORA release, the through-line is straightforward craft: new records, clear dates, and a live diary still being filled in.
