On 18 February 2026, U2 surprised fans with the release of a brand-new standalone six-track EP titled Days Of Ash. The collection arrives ahead of a full studio album expected later this year and presents a distinct creative chapter for the band.
Described as a self-contained body of work, Days Of Ash features five new songs alongside a musical interpretation of the poem Wildpeace, set to music by U2 and longtime collaborator Jacknife Lee. The EP moves through reflective moments, expansive production and the anthemic sound that has defined the band for over four decades.
Tracklist
- American Obituary
- The Tears Of Things
- Song Of The Future
- Wildpeace (poem)
- One Life At A Time
- Yours Eternally (ft. Ed Sheeran & Taras Topolia)
A standout from the release is Yours Eternally, featuring Ed Sheeran alongside Taras Topolia. The track delivers a sweeping, melodic performance and is already on rotation here at Eirewave.
The Return of Propaganda
To coincide with the EP, U2 have revived their iconic fan magazine Propaganda for a special one-off edition. First launched in 1986, the publication returns with exclusive interviews, lyrics, behind-the-scenes insights and reflections from the band, celebrating forty years since its original debut.
A Prelude to What’s Next
While Days Of Ash stands on its own, it also signals the beginning of a new creative cycle for U2. With a full album due later in 2026, the EP offers an early glimpse into the band’s current musical direction.
Days Of Ash is available now across all major platforms — and you can already hear Yours Eternally on Eirewave.*
