Florence Road

Florence Road are an indie band from Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, formed by childhood friends Lily Aron (vocals), Emma Brandon (guitar), Ailbhe Barry (bass) and Hannah Kelly (drums). The four-piece began making music together as teenagers, rehearsing in Aron’s garden shed and gradually shaping a sound that blends atmospheric indie rock with emotionally direct songwriting.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Cranberries, alongside contemporary influences including Wolf Alice and Phoebe Bridgers, Florence Road combine melodic guitars, dynamic rhythms and Aron’s distinctive vocal delivery to create music that feels both nostalgic and modern. Their early online presence, where they shared covers in their own distinctive style, quickly attracted attention and support from artists including Olivia Rodrigo and beabadoobee.

The band’s debut mixtape Fall Back, released in 2025, marked an important milestone and introduced a wider audience to their evolving sound. The project showcases Florence Road’s ability to balance introspective lyricism with expansive indie arrangements, signalling the arrival of a confident new voice in the alternative music landscape.

A breakthrough year followed, with a run of notable live performances that helped establish the group as one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging acts. During the summer they performed at major showcase festivals including SXSW London and The Great Escape, while also appearing as support for artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, sombr, Wallows, The Last Dinner Party and Royel Otis.

As their audience continues to grow, Florence Road have built a reputation for compelling live performances and a rapidly developing catalogue of songs. With international touring plans and new music on the horizon, the band are positioning themselves as one of the most promising indie acts of their generation.
